What is BABs?

BABs, or Become a Bookkeeper, is my self-paced online course that teaches you the technical skills that you need to in order to successfully grow a bookkeeping business.

The original idea behind this program was to help people without any experience learn the skill of bookkeeping, because bookkeeping is something that can taught and done relatively easily…but without college, there wasn’t an easy and affordable way for people to learn.

BABs was the perfect solution…and it still is. So why are we revamping?

Why the Revamp?

Become a Bookkeeper is an amazing, cohesive, well-loved course. It’s had nearly getting 350 students go through it. The last time I checked, it had a 68% completion rate, which is absolutely enormous. It’s usually 5-10% percent on average across the industry.

So people are coming into this self-paced program, they're loving it, and they're actually completing it. But we've now been revamping it for a year anyway. Why?

The short answer? BABs launched in 2021, and since then, both I and the systems we use for bookkeeping have continued to evolve.

The systems have changed, so some of the lessons became slightly outdated. And looking back, I can now see opportunities to teach certain concepts better or demonstrate things more clearly than I did before.

If there’s a way to do it better, I want to do it as well as it can be done. I’m not content with doing anything halfway. So it was time for an overhaul.

Why Purchase Now?

Like I said, we are so close to the updated version of Become a Bookkeeper going live…in fact, we’re close enough that the doors to the current version of Become a Bookkeeper are closing.

I've been telling you all this was coming for a long time, and I know a lot of you like to wait until the last minute (and your timeline is perfectly fine) but I wasn’t kidding when I said it, so here it is…

Double the BABs

If you purchase Become a Bookkeeper BEFORE February 28th, you’ll not only receive the current version of Become a Bookkeeper (a well-loved, high-quality program with a sky-high completion rate); you’ll also receive the fully revamped version when it goes live.

That means you get both programs—and, most importantly, both practicums, which will allow you to practice your new bookkeeping skills on two sample sets of books—for the price of one. Which is especially exciting, because…

The Price is Going Up

If you purchase now, you lock in Become a Bookkeeper at its current price.

For a long time, Become a Bookkeeper has been priced at $1,997. When the revamp pre-sale opens, it will be priced at $2,497; when the revamp is fully ready and gets officially launched, the price will go up to $2,997.

If I’m being honest, Become a Bookkeeper has always been worth that price; many people have urged me to raise the price before now, and that’s without the updates I’ve added in.

Finish What You Started

When you take advantage of the last call for the old version of Become a Bookkeeper, you won’t have to finish it by February 28th—I’ll be leaving that course available to those who have purchased for some time, likely between six months to a year.

It won’t be left up forever—I don’t want an outdated course staying up indefinitely—but it will be left up long enough for you to get through it!
